Saving Lives Meant A Costly & Drastic Career Change

Imagine walking into a patient’s room expecting routine care - only to be met with a reality far worse than what’s written on paper. Diabetes was just a word to me—until I witnessed its disabling, deadly impact on nearly 1 in 10 people in the U.S.

This firsthand, lived experience changed everything. An attitude and mindset of fierce determination was born - It inspired me to shift from my original path of pursuing a career as a pediatric surgeon to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®️).

In 2018, Jenkins Public Health Consulting®️ was founded to help health-focused organizations and businesses secure FUNDING. ON. REPEAT - without solely depending on grants!

We parnter with organizations who are intentionally working to prevent suffering caused by lack of access and low literacy rates, espescially preventable chronic diseases and injuries among children, youth, and adults.

At JPHC®️, we give our clients a sustainable strategy and personalized support to design and strengthen programs and partnerships using our proprietary 5-Step Community IMPACT Framework©️.

Our framework is uniquely designed from 15+ years of grassroots to federal level experience and directing initiatives,  uncovering methods beyond best-practices to address health inequities and disparities while improving health literacy, access to resources, and rebuilding trust to create lasting change in communities and prevent conditions like diabetes.

We are also dedicated to sustaining the workforce by offering an accelerator, The Public Health Mentor Program, and internships to health professionals who want to land high-quality, high-paying jobs in the industry."
